Former Okolona High School Basketball star, Cameron Smith, now a graduating Forward at CSU Bakersfield with hopes to play soon at the next level, helped launch Mission Okolona's new initiative on April 14, 2022 to spearhead a fundraising campaign to get kids off the streets by resurfacing the outdoor basketball courts in Okolona, installing new goals, along with canopies to allow players to play after-school and during summer months, rain or shine.
